“Indeed, in the creation of the heavens and the earth and the alternation of the day and night there are signs for people of reason.” (Surah Ali ‘Imran 3:190)
This verse has always made me pause and think. Allah gave us a brain, a mind, and so much more, not without reason. It’s for us to think, to ponder, to reflect, to understand everything around us, and to realize that He is Allah.
Sometimes I look at people and ask myself, do they think? Did they think about what they just did? Did they realize the consequences of their actions? Did they think before saying that or doing that? Not everyone reflects on their life, choices, or beliefs, but alhamdulillah, in Islam, thinking is part of everything.
We are told to ponder and think about the signs of Allah that are everywhere around us. We are told to think before speaking, before acting, before everything, to make sure we do what is right. Isn’t that beautiful?
This is why I started this blog: to think through writing and to share my reflections with others. I hope that, by the will of Allah, my words might help, enlighten, or guide someone, even in the smallest way. So if you’ve come across this blog, maybe it’s a reminder for both of us to slow down, to think, and to remember Allah in everything we do.
May Allah grant us hearts that reflect, minds that ponder, and actions that are guided by His wisdom.
